Lets talk about Zoos

Here are some pics of the Zoas I have, unfortunately I have no clue their names - but I still like them:D

Thanks Don Lino, are the People eaters the larger ones? I've tried looking them up on ZoaID but I find not having the "Normal" scientific names very difficult - they all start looking alike LOL! The first photo is of my first propagation attempt - it hurt me more then it did them, at least I think.

:smokin: gotta love those lunar eclipses!!
great collection joey!
and reefartist beautiful rock!! :D

our newest addition long red skirts

KeithnTracy those are beautiful, your whole tank is wonderful. I can't believe all the zoas you have :D. What are the larger polyps in the back called?

Reef Artist that rock is awesome, very colorful. and the propagation attempt, looks very nice too ... Let me know when you have another attempt like that for sale I would love to have them ... ;)

Thanks LadyFSU, I've already created about 4 frags (the photo above is after it had been "chopped" up by me). I've turned it around a few times and I love all the angles. I gave it one bald spot on the top, kind of like when I was young and cut my own hair :eek1: But it's already growing back.

Shibumi, we might have to have a lesson and get you a piece. I've read a few things on it and then just got a blade out and did it. I didn't lose any of the zoas, but I definitely need to work on my technic  I'm not sure the best glue to use. I used Super Glue Gel and it did good, but not sure if it's the best.

doomicon, thanks
reefartist, People eaters are considered any paly with a green slit for a mouth. The ones that look like that to me are those big purple ones with the peach color skirts and the green mouth. Thats also the same way I do it, with a bleade and Super Glue Gel...it works.

I don't know what any of these are called, but I got them today from Aquatic Visions.

Red skirt with green centers and also orange centers, blue and then and grey-ish green skirt. There's also another couple that I can't really see the colors yet on this rock.

These are just starting to open. Seem to be green with light blue centers.

Nice find LadyFSU, those are awesome Zoas. I really do need to get Aquatic Visions, the Zoas with the orange center are beautiful-I like orange being a GATOR. Good choices, are they for your tank or for school?

Well I paid for them myself, but I'll probably take half to school to grow, and let half stay in my tank at home. All 3 rocks are decent sized, so they'll still be ok if I split them I think...I hope!

...and I was hoping no one would think about those gator colors ;) Just not able to find the right garnet and gold zoas!!

I'm sure if Zoas can live through my inexperienced blade cutting, they can live though almost anything. I have a group that fell behind my rocks that I can't get to without tearing everything apart, they are growing like weeds LOL.

I think you might be looking for maybe scarlet and gray by mistake - Ohio all the way! My family lives and lives for Ohio State, my mother is 81 and that's all she talks about these days.
