Lettuce slugs

Here are some pics of my lettuce slugs. I didn't realize how much irridescence there is in their frills. Since they keep heading for powerheads, I keep getting more and more. The big one is around 4"

How old are these Slugs?

What are they feeding on?

It has been my understanding that they do not live long in captivity because of their dietary needs.

Oh, they've got a bryopsis farm, for some reason (heavy skimming and light feeding and still have bryopsis). I haven't had them very long (5 months, maybe). They started much smaller. The larger one has likely not shaken hands with the powerheads as often as smaller one.

I'm getting my chemistry stabilized again. My alk was really low for a while and requires constant attention... The algae seems to be losing it's hold. Luckily, I have a few more tanks with bryopsis...

after the bryopsis is gone you think you could train them to eat hydroids?
