Levamisole In-Tank Treatment for AEFW

I had the fw once on a a nana and that's the only one they consumed I pitched it and haven't seen any I constantly baste and use a small amount of interceptor twice a week. Everything seems happy I also have a wrasse in there that helps.

how are your corals doing? Are they getting better with more PE or still recovering from the treatment? How many treatments have you done so far? If I remember correctly you have done two treatment by now...
I ordered the meds and it is on the way...I will try it out as you and BAX suggested...
thanks for your dedicated effort to the reef keeping communities....

Corals are doing well, I have some frags that look better than ever, a few here and there that are still recovering. After the first treatment I did have one rainbow montipora that bleached some but still very much alive with PE, it is slowly regaining color. I have done 2 treatments so far. Thanks for your comments and checking the thread out, good luck with your treatment and let us know how you make out.

I would say for the most part you got very lucky, nana's and valida do seem to be a favorite among the AEFW but from my experience they do not discriminate much.

Dam aefw consumed my a nana frag I saw them and immediately took out all acros and dipped in revive. I didn't see any fw come off the other acros but did see a bunch come off the a nana. But what I did see after the fw was black bugs so I use a small amount of interceptor in the tank with good results ie PE on acros that did not have it. I read on here somewhere that one reefer doses his display daily with small amount of interceptor with great results.

DUH!

I'm thinking, medication? Observation? Couldn't come up with PE.

Ok.

I have a question for all who have tried this -- do any of you have deep sandbeds? How many of you have large refugia plumbed into the system, with sandbeds and worm populations? What happens to the bristleworms, spaghetti worms, etc? I'd imagine there would have to be massive die-off, to an extent that would spark a tank crash. No?

If not, what is the explanation here?

James, I will document well and post it here when I am experimenting it...We have to got together to rid of these devils...It kill most of my milli colonies....

I have checked out your new tank...That is a nice tank....I wish I can have that big tank in my house....:) Are you gonna transfer all your stock in new tank soon...I would wait until I see no more AEFW before transfer them...

Sorry to hear that Joey, my favorite milli was the first loss that I had due to these pests, I couldn't figure out what it was at first, wish I could have saved it:headwallblue:

I absolutely will not move any coral into my new tank until I am certain these buggers are gone forever LOL
