LF 40 or 60 cube~

So in attempt to keep the rimless as clean looking as possible I decided to mount my light from a shelf.
We already had a bracketless 48" shelf above the TV on the wall and I got the idea to hang one over the tank and mount some sort of arm for the light to hang from.
This is what Ive came up with. I like it and think once we get some odds and ends to put on the shelf it will look pretty good.

The pics make it look worse than it is but its got a 1/4 inch bow to it but the bracket is L shaped so its got some strength to it. If it does end up not being to my liking I can get a square shaped bracket and drill it.

Got the sump in. A few pics,

This one I had to put in because of the photobomb..

Since this is going to be in the living area I designed the sump so that only the front and a couple panels/baffles were clear. That way light in the sump will be minimized to the fuge area and not anywhere else. But I can still see all the way thru into all chambers.

Starting from the top left and going clockwise it goes, Inlet,Fuge,Return and bottom left it an ATO reservoir which holds between 8-9 gallons.

I was able to put the kego in there easy for yous.

Next comes getting it in the back of the stand and getting it plumbed up.

Put sand and some rock in today I like the way the rock looks but not sure if I want more or not. Also Im not sure what kind of rock this is that I have but I would like to get more of it to finish the scape with the same kind of rock.

I wouldn't add any more, it looks perfect IMO. Correction, I would add more rock, but put it in the sump.

Thanks Twigs.

The more I look at it the more I like the open space in there. Ive still got three pieces of Fiji to put in the DT but theres nems and a leather attached to them. I think with those pieces I should be gtg in the display. Im still gonna need 20-30 lbs to put in the sump but atleast I can get water in it to start the cycle.

Water went in today. Grabbed a few cups of sand from the 120 along with some LR from the sump to help seed and speed. Also tossed an MJ1200 in there for circulation until I can come up with the means to grab an MP10 or something.

I do think they are as good as the AIs. You saw my 120,the only thing Ive ever had over that was the Pharos. I bought one for the 60 because,if it aint broke ya know.

And I dont run them over 60%.

I'll get a shot of the 120 today when the lights come on Twiggy.
