LF 50 gal stock tank

Hahahaah... it's for my propagation system. Decided I would rather have a "sump" on bottom and be able to run two prop tanks (if I wanted)... ^_^

Point was to put the skimmer on bottom than on top. Skimmer at the very top level is just hard to service. ^_^

Woohoo! Found one pretty cheap.

That's only 50g?looks bigger.. I've seen quite a few guys running them wish I had a fish room to use that on my DT..

Ha! That means more electricity consumption. This past month, due to AC running a LOT... Our bill was like $700 (according to wife). Crazy!

We plan to install solar later this year. $26k before tax credit, 16k end cost. Paypack of that "investment" in 5 years or less. Saves me about $250 or more per month.

So 5 years is about $16k. Drops bill from $300-400 down to $70.

David, owner/guy from GreenStockSolar.com seems an upstanding guy and I plan to use him. He's based in Napa Valley.

I plan to put down like 26 "250 watt" panels out of the 40+ panels I would need if I wanted to entirely cancel my electricity usage.

Solar is the way to go a friend just got it installed in sac and he actually has a credit with his utility company for selling power back to them.. I think his bill is like $150 though.. Is yours just a lease also? Or will you own it?

Planning to own it. Why pay a leasing company to basically trade "one utility" for another "utility-like" company.

If they decide to raise your leasing fee or add "inflation" to energy costs, then you will be at their mercy.

Yeah I agree I didn't think that much into it but I felt the same way. It's not any different than PG&E just cheaper.. he also had to pay for the new roof underneath it lol.. The way he stated it is the panels have a certain life span and he won't have a large payment ever or have to pay to replace them and supposedly can restart it all over again or something like that.. I don't know the specifics but I know he's happy and I'm sure you will be too. Plus it adds value to your house.. Win win..

With leases, typically total end to end cost is more expensive than if you had the money to pay it all upfront. Kind of like the idea of buying a house instead of leasing to own. ^_^ You usually end up with a "large lease buyout option" at the end.

Yeah I totally believe you like I said I don't know much about Solar .. And honestly he's not the brightest star in the sky ( I can say that I've known him since I was 4 ;) so I wouldn't be surprised if he got sold on something that wasn't what he thought it was.

I believe his thoughts were he doesn't have to buy it just renew or upgrade with a new company/product when the time comes since it will be old technology when it's up.. But he's the type to pay a neighborhood kid to vandalize it to get off the hook ha ha..

Good luck I'm sure you will find a way to use up all those savings the way your prop tank is growing bigger by the month. JK ;)
