LF: 75g Used RR tank

I'm just throwing this out there to see what's available and prices. I'm looking for a used 75g RR tank. Currently I have my 65g RR tank ready to set up and get going, but exploring options beforehand. I know the 48L tanks seem to have a heck of alot bigger selection in the lighting department and after a couple of misunderstandings with the wifey I've convinced her that a 75g may be a cheaper route to explore than the 65.

If someone has a cheap RR 75 they are looking to sell please PM with the price. I know it's unlikely but I'm looking for a very cheap one. This to ensure the wife doesn't aggro me again. Hehhe, I know I know. I'm whipped!

If I am able to obtain a 75 I will be selling the 65g very cheap.

I also have a nice Sony Portable DVD player I would be willing to throw in as trade bait if anyone was interested.

Thanks!

Chris

The 75 gallon is a good choice. Once you have one you're going to want a 120 and then a 180. It's just a matter of time.

These tanks all have a very good ration of length to depth to height ratio. Being either 4' or 6' (the 180 gallon) long you will have many lighting options.

Look in the Used Equipment & Dry goods for sale forum and you'll get some idea of pricing and availibility. You may also want to check on e-bay and in your local classifieds. The 75 gallon is going to be the most economical but if you can stretch to the 120 gallon you'll have the ultimate 4' tank IMO.

Stay away from tall tanks unless you're sure you will always want a FOWLR. I have had a 110 gallon (an extra tall 75) for over 15 years and there isn't a day that goes by that I wish it was a 75 Gallon.

My next tank (if there ever is one) will be either a 120 or 180. Good Luck!

PM me if you decide to sell the 65gal RR. I will be moving back to Jax shortly from Tallahassee and will be looking to upgrade.
