LF: Black Acrylic Sheets

Thinking about putting a nice clean looking sheet of black acrylic across the back glass wall of my tank instead of trying to build a fake rock wall to cover it.

Does anyone have any thin black acrylic sheets for sale? Or possibly know where to find them in the valley?

If all else fails I will likely need to buy them online so any sources there would be helpful as well.

Thanks in advance!

don't mean to hijack but is there a place out in the west valley?
Also looking for some weldon for acrylic work.

North west valley is where I am too so no worries there!

I don't think that painted acrylic will give me that shine I'm looking for but maybe I'm wrong. I sort of want a mirrored look to it.

Anything else besides port plastics?

Yeah, painting the back wold not look the same as a piece of acrylic inside the tank. Is this an empty tank? You'll want to silicon it to the back of the tank and seal the edges.

Yes it's an empty tank and yeah that's what I was thinking. I was talking about it with Carlos from the Aquarius and he mentioned the idea of using magnets. I think that might be an option too...something I hadn't considered.

I'm still debating the idea of a fake rock wall too but just can't decide which look I'd like more long term.

If you do acrylic, I would seal it with silicone. If you don't, detritus will accumulate beteen the acrylic and the glass.

Amazon, i just ordered a 24x24 black, .125inch thick sheet for about $30bucks! Pretty much any size/thickness/color you could want
