LF 'BRS' clear netting

Anybody have any of the 1/4" netting from BRS they want to sell?

I need to make a cover for my tank. I need a piece about 20"x48"

Isnt it like a bird netting that you can get at some garden shops? So birds cant pick at your fruits etc... maybe im wrong but I swear I read a thread that mentioned an alternative.

It is similar. Bird netting is black and, IIRC, has openings of about 1". The BRS stuff is clear and 1/4" openings. Seems like that would block less light and keep smaller fish in better.

I am trying to find some of this too. If I find any locally I will make sure to let you know. Im not about to drop a $45 bucks of the BRS kit. home depot sells the window frame kits for about $11 so I will be getting one of those and then maybe just buy the netting from BRS if I can not find it around here.

Nick we are thinking along the same lines here. I have a lead on some from a friend in BAR. I think he wants to get rid of more than I need. If that works out you'll be hearing from me!

I have a spline roller 'somewhere' in my garage. So with the supplies from HD I see no reason to pay BRS for their overpriced 'kit'.

From what I've read the frames are aluminum. Anyone see plastic frame anywhere?

I was getting done new tires at les Schwab so while I was waiting I checked out Walmart for some netting. They have some white nylon netting in the fabric section with about 1/8 holes. $.97 per yard.

Here is what the netting looks like on the frame. I'm pretty happy with it. You can see the notches I cut for the wires. I have a ton of netting left over ill bring to the meet. Up for grabs.

You must have some small fish, those openings are small. Lol. I hope it does not block out too much light.
