Kalk Drip

Kalk Drip

How much should be dripped in overnight per gallon

The way I alway's did it was I just dripped as much as the tank Evaporated each day by dripping Kalk to replace that water. It must be done correctly and I will advise you to read Randy Holmes Farley's Thread on Limewater so you get all the do's and Dont's on how to do it right.
I just have to much on my mind right now to go into all the details, Sorry

If anyone wants to begin using Kalk, I have a PM Kalkreactor that I no longer use. Works great and it eliminates the potential issues with adding the effluent too quickly. I used it for a few years and with an aqualifter pump (new for $16) and a small valve - it is very much a set it and forget it. The only part of it that really wears out is the Maxi-Jet 400 powerhead (new for $17). It was working fine when I took it down.

$90 OBO.

I have some Kalk, RO tubing with the valve and the Aqualifter pump also - complete package $100.

Jay, If you want to buy a Ca Rx go to any Online place that sell the CR140D Octopus Ca Rx For the Price New you will get a great reactor that is easy to use and cheap compared to the more expensive ones like GEO. I had one for years and think they are better than the GEO that i now have after two of them I'm kinda dissapointed with their Low PH issues even after adding a second chamber to them. They run about 279.00 for the reactor if i remember right then you need a tank regulator and media. I can help you set it up when i have the time as I have ran them for years.

Hit me up Jay if you have any questions. I could build you something too if needed.

Sorry Rick I forgot about you building one for him, Duh This is a good option for you too as Rick does great work and will size it to your needs, And they work great too!
Bill

Rick how much do yours usually run as down the road this is an option I want to go and would like to know the expense involved when that time arises.

Jennifer, it just depends on what you need. I can say it can be cheaper than off the shelf models for some and more expensive than others with customization to specific needs, but still cheaper than major brands custom ones. you can shoot me an email and we can go over details vdubmixer@hotmail.com
