Hey guys I was wondering if anyone has a nano skimmer for sale? Footprint max 5x7. Please let me know.

Thanks!!!

well im torn between getting a nano hydor slim skim from a buddy for $35 used for 1 month or getting a SC-65 off ebay that is a clone of the Bubble Magus cone skimmer for up to 65 gals. The skimmer is going into my sump and I really don't feel the need to constantly adjusting the skimmer which is my fear with the hydro seeing how it surface skims.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

That would be excellent... maybe after i finish my residency in dermatology and the federal goverment doesn't take more money away from doctors i can afford to have that in my house.... You are paying for the red dragon pumps essentially the rest is free hahahaha

Look for a tunze doc skimmer 9000 something or other. They come in like three sizes. Get the one rated at least for your tank.

i was looking at hydor nano slim skim up to 65gal or the SC65 off ebay its a clone of the BM NAC35, ive heard that its pretty darn good..... Thoughts? The skimmer will be sitting in the sump so I am thinking that the hydor isn't going to be such a good idea. I am worried about having to constantly fine tune it with evaporation and water lvls. I was planning on putting it in chamber #2 of 4 chambers....

I have two tunze 9002 and they are crap but I see they have some new models that look good the 9004. I have the hydor slim skimmer running in my first chamber now and think it is great much easier to use and i'm getting some great results. Its in my first chamber so the water level never changes.

I ran the Tunze 9011 in 9 to 10" of water and it ran like a champ. Not to mention it didn't take up a lot of real estate.

Judge for yourself. It would pull this every week.

Still on the fence between the sc65 cone and the tunze. I found a tunze 9002 on the selling forum for $80 its 3 yrs old the guy says. Unmodded... thoughts?

If its for an AIO, I have a Sapphire Skimmer I'd be willing to part with. I just picked it up used. It works, but not sure if I'm going to put it in my nano. Its currently running on my QT tank (no meds). Only been on there a week, and every day, the stuff it pulls is getting darker (still breaking in). These drop into an NC12, fit a BC14 with minor modding, and should fit all the bigger models.

I like my Tunze 9002. The amount of crap I dump from the cup every week, I have never understood why people complain about them. Setup error maybe?

I think people just dont like the variation with the tunze 9002 that you get unless you do the air hose mod to it. Than I head it works like a champ. rovster do you have a pic of the skimmer.

So the skimmer is for the 10 gal sump of my 10gal nano tank. the way I have the sump planned out is as follows.....

I want the refugium to essentially be a show refugium, I am building the stand with a window to show the refugium (the middle divider will be painted black) So I think the skimmer should actually always be a constant level. the way it is set up

Ill post a pic later. Just search sapphire aquatics nc12. It has an adjustable pump, and internal baffles. If its for a sump, I'd probably go with something else. Tunze seems very popular. BM nac 3? GL either way.
