LF old Maxi-Jet 600's for PM Kalk reactor

So, I purchased a brand new MJ 400 and soon realized that I needed the 600. I then ordered the 600 and realized that the pump size has changed. As a result these two new pumps don't work for my reactor. Does anyone have any old 600's lying around near the Lisle area?

Yeah, the old MJ is now Cobalt. Those are the exact pumps (Cobalt manufactured before the line was moved to China, so Cobalts are Italian and a bit more pricey than the MJ line.)

That's by way of information. My old MJs are not reliable (seize occasionally, etc).

Ya, I just ordered the maxi jets under the Marineland name. So how do I know if the Colbalt's will work? I'd rather not buy a brand new pump and then discover that it doesn't work. I already did that twice already. What a bummer

They will work! Same production line, same pumps as the original MJs. Honestly they work!

OK, if you say so. I think I'm going to have to start selling some of my old new equipment soon. I'm starting to pile things up.

Or I may just return the other two but I just hate paying $8 to return them. Thanks for the heads up though

I really only just need one. I trying to determine if my pump has failed or all the other replacement impellers I bought are junk.

Both of mine are in use but I can give one of them a vinegar bath. LMK if you want to trade. I'm located just east of the 5th Ave METRA station.

Oh I believed Ostrow. I was just more frustrated that I had to find out the hard way.

Trackfast, let's make that arrangement. Perhaps let's schedule for next week. I'm going out of town tonight.

Victor, thanks again for exchanging pumps with me.

All,
So the pump fits but yet it doesn't have as tight of a seal as the original. Yes there is an O-Ring but for some reason gravity is not on my side and the water is coming out. How can I possibly make this pump sit nice and tight so that it doesn't leak. I can use a rubber band but I'm not sure what else I can do.
