I am in the process of gathering items to add a sump to my 125, not RR, tank. i am looking for an overflow box for starters, but i am also curiuos as to which is better, single or double. also curious about how others have taken precaution in the case prime in lost in the overflow to keep the return pump from overfilling the tank? i guess im just looking for suggestions and to see if anyone has an overflow...

Get an overflow with the U-Tube that has a nipple to hook up a Aqualifter pump, Which will prime the O/F in the case of power loss. Other wise it will not start on it's own, You can also DIY this feature into an O/F without them. FYI

I have a CPR overflow I am willing to let go. Don't remember what the flow was. But got it from Lindsey AKA pickupman66. Maybe he can jump in. I these the best.

it was rated at 1500 gph I believe. it has dual 1" drains. I only used on with my mag9.5 on the old 75. worked great, and with the duals, it should work good for you. for silencing it, build you a pair of Hofer gurgle busters and run with it. I used a single Durso which did good for me. If I still owned it, I would sell it to ya, but get it from Zef! I bought it used myself.

I like the CPR's. if you keep that aqualifter on there and make sure your hoses and the little nipple are cleaned every month or so, it will perform flawlessly. I HATE HATE the u-tube style ones. PITA to get started and always get a darn bubble at the top.

here is link, but that one is all black (best). I think it was a 202

That high of a rate. Well come think about maybe it is. I got a 1600 on my 135 reef has a 1.5 drain.
Just send me a pm.

I have a self priming one (aqualifter) rated at 600gph I can let go..probably more suited to your tank. PM me if you want more info.

again, im still fairly new at some of this....so im not sure what really suits my tank....i have a 125 tank and getting a 55gal sump. thats as far as i have gotten. maybe i can have the more knowledgable people tell me this saturday when they come over...lol i am also going to need a pump with maybe 6-8 feet of head pressure, does that seem like an issue to anyone?

that CPR would be good. better enough and not use it all than not enough and max it out is always my thoughts to it. then again, I have a 4300gph return pump on my 180 and it is valved WAY back.
