Little info on me: Currently here in Pitt on business for the next few weeks

Problem: I plan on attending the C-SEA swap next week and have no where to place the corals I plan on purchasing

Now that I got that out of the way... I was hoping someone might have a complete pico set-up that they are willing to sell/rent, or if someone has room in their frag tank to store a few corals. I'm only looking for brightly colored zoa's & paly's at the swap and care should be fairly easy. I can also give a few heads of the frags as compensation.

TIA

I have a 37 gal frag tank that's empty. I have reef led lighting. I can do it. What would the plan be for this?

Thanks for the offers but I ended up purchasing a 2.5gal tank from aqua world to hold the corals.

Here's the set-up:

2.5gal glass tank
25w heater
Marineland Double Bright LED system
MJ 400
2.5gal of water from Aqua Worlds 75gal reef tank

I bought 5 zoa frags from their 5-$20 tank to test out the system and make sure I'll be able to house the frags from the swap. I just realized that I might have lucked out when I purchased one of the frags and got a nice pink yuma as a hitchhiker. The head is really small about a 1/4" so hopefully this little set-up works.

I also made another purchase while I was there..... It's not everyday that you walk into a fish store and see a juvy goldflake angel. =)

Oh, and if anyone wants the 2.5gal when I leave you can have it for free. You'll just have to pick it up in Shadyside.

Well, the test frags aren't doing so well in the pico holding tank. I'm not sure if the lights are too bright or just problems with the water quality. I ended up using 100% of the water from Aqua World to start the pico. When I woke up this morning the frags were partially open but when I turned on the lights they ended closing shortly after. I ended up buying some window screen and applied two layer to dim the intesity of the lights to see if it helps. I also did a 64oz water change to see if that would help. The only other thing I can think of is that there is too much flow in the tank. I'll hold out until tomorrow to see how things turn out.

I haven't tried feeding them yet, but I will definitely try that this evening. I'll head over to Aqua World this evening to see what kind of foods they have there. I know they have Phyto, but hopefully they'll have some other foods that I can use there.

no, the goldflake is still at aquaworld until i head back home. they said they were going to try and get a few more in a week or two. if they get a smaller goldflake i'm going to opt for the smaller one. i'm hoping to get a juvi with the block spot on the back still. i like raising angels from juvi's to adults and watching them go through their morph.
