LF: sand

Anyone have aragonite or other fine grained sand. Does not have to be superfine, but not crushed coral shells...

Looking to use to setup FIL tank.

Are you looking for live sand? I got a 20-30 gallon trash can (plastic) filled with sand. Its been in the backyard exposed to everything, meaning it was never covered. This was the sand from my 250.

Not need live... Just fine medium grain sand.

I was just going to ask if any one has some extra sand. I went to fish pros yesterday and they want $1.99. Pound for the dry sand. The live sand in a bag is only $1.69 a pound. Sometimes I don't get it but oh well.

I'd like to get in line behind Ron if there is extra sand left over.

I'm guessing the 'live' sand is heaver because it's wet. So less actual sand volume in the wet stuff.

I have some sand. A few bags of, IIRC, Tropic Eden mini flakes. My pumps push around the bigger stuff, TE reef flakes, so I won't be using this.

How about $35/bag? Retail is $39.99 for the 30 lb. bag.

If either of you (Ron and Nick) are interested, I'll check on just what and how much I have.

I think I'm going to need about 80lbs. I want to replace most of my sand bed. The sand I have now is about 1-3mm in size.
