A little late but those clowns are part lineage of Rods. Just the Male has the most. It is an onyx, female might have some, but worth $1,ooo no. If anything since they are a breeding pair only worth about $300 to $ 400.00 per the pair. That is a little high, But if willing to pay then pay. How do I know? I lived there and I know them. My Occy pair Reef1589 sold for 200 or best offer. i was told he sold them for 225.00 dollars. I paid 78.00 for the pair. Someone got ripped off. Probably me since they were my clowns and did not see a dime from the transaction. Buyer beware with 1589. HE will try to get the most from you.

Not that reef1589 needs anyone to speak for him, but, I have just recently gotten into the hobby (salt - many many years of fresh) and bought two rods onyx clownfish from him. They were reasonably priced based on prices I have found online. Both are healthy and living in a tank I have just started and still learning about. They were expensive starter fish but I wanted something different. Something not everyone had. I'm very satisfied with what I got out of the deal. I would not be troubled to deal with him again should he again have something for sale that I was interested in.
