LFS all trash now?

Went to a few shops yesterday to get reinspired. What the hell happened? Went to all the ones in south south Dade I could think of. Maybe they've sent all their stuff to macna or whatever but man these places were barren. Helpful staff but nothing in the way of quality frags. And what was there was unthinkably expensive. We're talking 5 polyp brown zoa frags for $15.

Please tell me that's not what LFS has become. I haven't gone yet to the shops on bird but if the shops down here are any indication...

nope, not all the store are bad. for sure Strictly Fish has a great selection of good and some high end frags. they have always been fair on pricing as well

Some definitely are better than others. Exotic usually has pretty reasonable prices. In our experiences Strictly Fish has been overpriced when we've gone for corals before and it always seems that their fish selection is in pretty bad shape (1+ dead in each tank_. Ocean view has a small but always healthy selection from what we've seen.

My go to LFS is Professional Fish Keepers On Sample Road in Coral Springs. Great set of guys over there

The ones on bird are doing pretty good I feel.. prices are starting to get a bit ridiculous but I guess if people are actually paying for them they will only keep going up..

I've had a great experience with strictly fish. I've bought 7 fish in total from them and they are all healthy. Never bought corals, but they do seem to be retail priced.

The reefs in the wild aren't doing so hot either. Well hot is not the right word.

Strictly fish always has quality corals, i also frequently visit exotic aquariums on bird road as well for both fresh and saltwater.

I buy a lot from strictly fish and never had a problem. Ever since they expanded their store they started getting some really nice corals!!!

I'm a regular at fish and coral paradise. Been going there since it was just a warehouse, but has since opened a brick and mortar location. Great owner, great prices, great selection. Located right off the Palmetto.

I've had good luck with hydra aquatics in dania beech for corals
