I'm from Woodland and I have to go down 680 over to Antioch later today. Just wondered if any locals could give me advice on LFS worth checking out in Concord, Martinez, Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hill, or Antioch.

THANKS!!!

I would highly recommend you to visit All About Fish, they have many selection of corals, fish and very nice display tanks. They have the biggest rose anenome and one of the oldest marroon clown I ever seen in one of their display tank. I shop there all the time so I can be bias but worth cheking it out if you're in that area. Have fun.

That's what I'm talkin' about. Thanks kttsf.

I just called All About -- He claims he has more corals than most wholesalers. Link to website didn't work for me.

The link to Concord Aq did work, but the site says they're closed Thursdays.

All About Fish has a ton of LPS it seems (I've always seen tons of bubbles etc, but never pay that much attention). The SPS selection isn't very large/good. I really like the fish there, always had good luck with the ones I've purchased there. I think Bob is the main SW fish guy, he seemed pretty knowledgeable and straightforward when we spoke with him.

Concord Aquarium is kind of sad =/ Not many good fish, maybe one or two dying softy corals...

All About Fish is awesome for fish really. They got all sorts of cool stuff all the time.

They have a tank full of really neat clams, though they recently put a pair of potters or rusty centrogype in that tank, and I was watching one nip away at one of their beautiful clams! I was like, uh dude, these clams are getting killed.

But the clams they have right now are pretty nice =)

They have a big tank of softies, and a lot of LPS. Most of the softies aren't too colorful, but some ok zoos here and there. The LPS is pretty impressive, lots of euphilia, fungia, and some chalice pieces, etc.

Plus they have a HUGE Erowana in their freshwater area =)

There is also a new LFS in Antioch, off of I-4 and automall parkway

Exotic Aquatics I think it is called.

It has a decent fish selection, but they are still working on their coral inventory.

Thanks. All about fish was rockin'. Bob's a stand up reefer. I put him to the test and he delivered on some obscure requests. Nice selection and that freakin' anenome was huge, I mean HUGE. Some good prices, some not so much.

The place in Antioch was at that address, but odd. When walked in it was all cluttered and in disarray like this was their first day, but the 'biologist' told me they'd been open 6 months. Lots of SW fish, a tridacna tank but practically nothing for coral.

Thanks so much for the tips y'all.
