Just spotted a post on C.List. Apparently Fins is moving. I tried to get some more info. however there was no answer.

To me it does not matter where they move it all comes out the same! Location is not there main problem, Proper care would be a better place to start with the owners of Fins. After a recent comment on how they handle their Fish I can not see me ever buying from then now or in the Future. JMHO

I agree with you. I'll never step foot in that place again. To bad that's the closes lfs to you guys.

I am sorry, but which store is this? Is this the one that is in that strip mall near the Ford Dealer in Franklin? What was the recent comment on Fish handling I guess I missed that one.

sooooo are they large sized or a hole in the wall?nothing like critter im sure but something like pet palice or the old emerald bay location?

This store was owned by the owner of the Critter at one time, He had a partner that ran it for him and it didn't work out well and has gone down hill since then. It could be a great store if someone who had knowledge and cared about the industry would buy it.
The current owners are not in that catagory!

If I had the capital, I would buy it. Their attitude seems to have changed recently, and they are a little more open to constructive criticism. It just seems that they are still using 15 year old knowledge to take care of their tanks.

I will say this. I had to start my tank over from the very start 3 months ago due to a red turf algae epidemic. I was in this store couple months ago and noticed that their astrea snail's for sale were literally covered in the stuff. Anyone who bought them will now have what I compare to the black plaque of reef keeping.

So that's where you got it from? You should go and tell them the money and time they caused you not counting the sheer anguish of losing your tank.

Bill,

Now you know that if what we hear about these characters are true do you really think telling them your anguish would make a difference?

(I think not)

Went by the new location today.... They have more than double the space of the old location! Everything was looking pretty good. From the sounds of it they're working with new dry good as well as live stock suppliers. 107 Beasley in Franklin.

Lets Recommend that all Club Members Avoid this Store for reasons that are Ethical and Moral in Nature. New Suppliers are needed when your Credit is not extended from Old ones and I will not support this Bussiness personally for this reason. JMHO

can you make recommendations to the story? I mean, they probably need that.
I would do that, but I don't know what they did. I'd be more happy about more stores in the area.

last i heard about their suppliers was that they were switching to a more "sustainable" supplier. Whether or not that is because they actually care about the hobby, or a credit issue, or a reason to raise already high prices, i don't know. only time will tell.
