there is a little pet store in sebring and they have some stuff although i havent been in there in awhile. the store is right on hwy 27 in sebring. from sebring to sarasota is an hour and a half if you want to come over and check out coral connection or kd's oceans and reefs (bradenton just up the road ).. other than that not much to mention except for tampa and there we have FAOIS and coral corral...

Cool,
Do you have adresses for these places. If not I will try to look them up when I get down there.
Thanks for the help!
Mark

Re: LFS in the Sebring/Lake placid area

Coral conections in Sarasota has a website should be coralxonections.com and so does FAOIS in Tampa I'm sure coral corral has one too the one in Sebring I have no idea but if your in Sebring and can't find it it is on the east side of hwy 27 (main road in sebring) and it is actualy kinda down town if there is a down town in Sebring lol. It has murals painted on the building. I hope it helps as there is not realy much to do over there this time of year.

That web addy for coral conections does not have an x in damn iPhone lol.

The store in Sebring is Arcadea pet stop, it moved from the east side (w/ mural on the building) to the west side just south of Home Depot. Not much to speek of as far as salt water stuff. Maybe 6 fish, 1 feather duster , a couple of mushrooms and some button polyps. That was about it.
I think I am going to be able to check out the couple shops in Sarasota tomarrow. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks,
Mark

Hello,

Just started in the saltwater world, so bear with me. There is a great little shop called Aqua Dreams in Bradenton, on State Road 64 West. They have some great fish and corals. I purchased a tank from them about 2 months ago when they first opened and it looks great, they are very knowledgable and take the time to educate someone like myself thats new to the hobby. The rest of the stores around were pretty dirty, smelled like smoke, and the staff were less than friendly to a new comer like myself. This store is clean, and fish and corals are healthy. Did I mention that their prices were the lowest around, bought my tank for 200 dollars less than everyone else, and they even installed it after hours for me, talk about customer service. So all I can say is they are great people who have a large inventory and reasonable prices, so I continue to be a weekly customer of this store, you should try to check it out.

AL

lol yea right

Geez was it something I said, is there something I should know. They had really nice blue and purple carpet anemones that I am thinking about getting. The place was really nice compared to some of them around here.

AL

A shill is person who is paid to help another person or organization to sell goods or services. The shill pretends to have no association with the seller/group and gives onlookers the impression that he or she is an enthusiastic customer. The person or group that hires the shill is using crowd psychology, to encourage other onlookers or audience members (who are unaware of the set-up) to purchase said goods or services. Shills are often employed by confidence artists. The term plant is also used. The term is also used to describe a person who is paid to help a political party or other advocacy organization to gain adherents; as with the situation of selling goods or services, the shill gives the impression of being unrelated to the group in question, and gives the impression that he or she finds merit in the ideological claims of the political party.

and you only having 3 posts as of now doesnt help the matter....

Well unfortunately I do not sit in front of the computer all day, unlike yourself. I do not represent this company in any way shape or form and it unfortunate that you feel this way, I found out about this site from doing a search when I was researching some of the fish and corals I had purchased. I was just stating facts about the area saltwater fish retailers and figured people would like to know where I feel I was treated best. I am not one that will post just anything, didn't even know how to post until I tried, so this will be the last time because of such an arrogant individual as yourself. Let me ask you why do you have so much time on your hands to respond so quickly and so often, seems like your on here quite often during the day. I have an excuse I'm retired. So in ending this final convo with you, I feel sorry that you think I am involved in any way with this shop, just wanted to give kudos to those who take pride in their work.

Easy guys, I am not sure what happend to this thread, but back to reefing. I made it to two LFS last Thur., K.D.s and Coral connections. KD's was very friendly and had some nice stuff, prices seemed good. Coral Connections had alot more to choose from but seemed to be a little more pricey. I was happy w/ both places. Thanks for steering me in the right direction. Thanks stymee69 for the great info!

Mark

P.S. Play nice guys LOL
