I'll be heading down to Bush Gardens in 2 weeks . Any good worth while stores in the area .
Looking for sps mainly.

Three places come to mind Fish and Other Ichthy Stuff, Finz, Coral Reef Aquariums. All have SPS and all have their own personalities. Fish and Other Ichthy Stuff has the most sps and corals out of the three but they are all worth the trip.

you guys forgot to mention pet mart. it's almost walking distance from busch gardens. last time i was there they had about 50 regal tangs for 24.99 each. i would have got one but i couldn't find a single one that didn't have white spots and wasn't scratching. i think they should have called them philly tangs.

OP asked for a "good, worthwhile" LFS. But yes, since they're at Busch Gardens, might as well stop in there. Only 1-2 minutes away.

i think this is a little bit further but it is coral connections off of clark road in sarasota. has a pretty small store but nice corals.

I'd say Fish and Other Ichthy Stuff would be the must see for ya John's got a very high quality selection of sps, lps, softies, equipment, whatever you are in to He also know his stuff....

yeah, petmart is ok until you visit a strictly coral store or saltwater..then petmart looks like a jalopy next to a bmw m5

It’s been a while since I been back to this board and I was reading threads and this is the 2nd one already that’s ragging on pet mart. Guess I got to stick up for my LFS. I started going there about 6 years ago. I have learned allot from the staff and epically from the owner Nick. Yes they also have dog, cat, bird, and reptile stuff but that doesn’t mean they don't have a great selection of aquatics. The other stores I have been to are fine but many act like they are to good for you. Fish and itchy things is one of them IMO. First time I went in there after hearing about them the Owner did not even look up from his computer when My wife and I walked in. And we were the only customers in the whole store. I was offended by that and have never been back. The store did have nice looking fish tanks and coral as well. It’s to bad that the guy was so rude because I wanted to be a customer. Should I have to ask someone to take my money from me?
