LFSs in Toledo

I am going to be in the Toledo area and i was wondering if anybody knows if there are any Saltwater stores to check out in the area. Otherwise i may go see the zoo while my wife attends a conference. Any suggestions would be great!

Thanks for the advice on the zoo, i was figuring on spending the afternoon there. Unless i can find a phone book when i get there and let my fingers do the walking.

He has corals and fish and is about the only one worth checking out in toledo http://www.garystropicalfish.net/ is his website but it appears down at the moment.

I agree...Garys Tropical has alot of reef stuff...number is (419) 482-6045...he is running a sale on live rock but not sure of what kind...$4.95/lb...

Gary's is a bit on the Pricey side but to be honest there is not a load of other places to pick from. Check with the nora R/C page there is a list of them all there

I didn't make it to the LFS but i did tour the Zoo and it was pretty cool. The funny part was the entrance i chose, happened to be the closest one to the aquarium!! So of course i went there first, and then again at the end of the afternoon. I was standing in front of their reef display when a woman and her son walked up and the little boy began to ask his mom what all the different things were. She had no clue, and to my surprise they didn't have anything saying what was what. So i got to play Zoo guide for a few mins. It was pretty cool!

Right down the street from Tropicorium, is the Fish Doctors in Trenton, MI. Small place but highly recommended. There are also a lot of other good shops in the Detroit area.

Visit us in NORA for advice if you ever get back to Toledo. My red house will link you to our club website There is a LFS list there. We have several shops in town. Gary's, Coral Reef, Tropical Reef, Ocean Treasures, Sweet Feed Co. Trilby Tropicals has been around town for years as exclusively FW but they have just opened a SW section. I have not stopped in yet but I look forward to because their FW selection is top notch.
