LFSs near Argent Hotel?

Karl,
Unfortunately if you are not going to East Bay you will not be able to find an LFS for a good coral. What is your radius when you say near? If you are willing to drive as far as Alameda, there is New Alameda Aquatic.

HA HA

No frag for you. :strooper:

I've got a 3 hour window while I'm there, so I was wondering if there was anything close by. Not really looking for anything in particular:)

Unless there are any locals around that want to sell something:p

Karl,
Are you coming this weekend? If it is, 3 hours window will give you enough time to run to Atlantis. If not, New Alameda is worth a visit. Jim/Bookfish is working there. There is another one in Oakland, Lucky Goldfish, but I have never visited it myself.

When are you going? Atlantis is opening it's new location on the 28th, so they may be in disarray.

Geez Karl, what would locals have for sale that you don't already have? You need to sell stuff to us! :)

Worth going to New Alameda and Lucky Goldfish. Atlantis if you have the time. When are you in SF?

Exactly! That is why I do not bother telling him about the stores in SF. Not in par with his level. :)

I heard the place on Duboce might be open *snicker*

Come on over Karl, I'll trade you some of my ultra rare brown crap (NO ONE has it! ) :)

There is a pretty ok store in the Richmond district called Lucky Ocean Aquarium on 109 Balboa St. 415-668-3676. Their fish are fat at healthy. Also, they have some coral available for ~$20. That store, while it is not as big as the one on clement and 6th, there is pretty good selection.

Thanks, guys!

I'm not sure whether I should be flattered by your comments, or embarassed for being pooled in with SPS snobs:lol: I'm no different a collector than you guys.

I was there yesterday, and ended up just hanging out in the hotel before going to Ruby Skye, which is a nice clube, BTW:)

Depends on what clubs you like (having been in that industry a long time as well ;) ). I personally don't like Ruby, not my cup o tea. But I'm a jadded clubber

jadded rave promoter to be precise :D

jadded rave promoter to be precise :D

Guess you didn't know, prior to enterring this biz, I ran one of the larger (5k - 15K per event) SF Bay area rave production companies, did sound and did lighting, as well as dabbled in DJ'ing (up until a few years ago in fact). Got out when my business partner and I parted ways. Since it was all on a handshake, he took it all :( Oh well, live and learn :) I'm still extremelly connected in the electronic music scene, I just don't go out much any more.
