In Memoriam
Yesterday was a time to reflect on life and the future. I heard via voicemail that were having a national conference about a re-organization which basically means layoffs. I'm the newest rep to join the team after my company was bought out. So I made the cut out of 700 reps with 100 of us being kept. Now, I'm back in the same scenario of being laid off again. All this will be announced tomorrow (wed) where the company stands.

I never thought I'd say this but I considered selling everything and going smaller. Oh yeah, I'm having a baby girl in early december too so thats another factor that I have to consider. The tank has been up and running for 6 months now and I'm 90% there to getting everything in place! I told my girlfriend that I might want to take everything down and wait until the economy gets better. She said no and to keep the tank since the tank is pretty much is looking good to say the least.

I guess I'll know more where I stand when I join the conference call tomorrow. Just wanted to vent even though I've been in this situation before...

Jason, sorry man, I wish you the best. Hang in there ok?

Jeff, how you doing bud? long time no see, lets hook up I got time to hang

I felt like doing the same thing when my wife was prego. For me I think I would be worse without it. My one year old loves the tank and going to the fish stores. As the job goes, my company is going through changes as well. Hopefully for the better. I also wish the best.

Chris, hope things are going for the better for you too man ... when you are free lets hang ... btw, got any wine stock for resupplying ? ;) I've been drinking a lot lately hehehe lmk

Hey Jason, that's great that your girlfriend is supportive with the tank. Vanessa loved ours as much I did. I can't wait to get ours set back up. I just hope what ever landlord we end up with is cool with it.

Times are tough for all of us. Hope we all make it out ok.

Thanks Mike, Chris, Jeff and Tom. Yeah, I was looking at the tank and can't bare to end everything when I'm almost there! I guess I'll take Tom's advice and cut the lights down but it doesn't help since I added a frag tank (more lights). Anyways, the only bad thing is that I always want to add more corals to the collection. I'll keep reefing till the powerheads roll off =) Oh yeah, just found out during a national conference call that layoffs are going to be announced mid Dec. Fun times....

I feel bad man. Im young, but I am sorry. Keep the tank going.

It could be worse...you could get your dick cut off and thrown out the window of a moving car! -fight club.

I guess there is always that!

im sorry again and I hope you feel better about the situation.

Jason, I took my frag tank off line to save energy so you might want to do that too, just sell your frags from the frag tank for now. I also turn off the heat to my house so it will be a colddddddd winter hehehe tough time requires tough measure ya know :D
