Lifereef skimmers ?

I should mention the skimmer will be on my 120 mixed reef
moderately stocked but not heavily stocked

I have been using lifereef skimmers for years the build quality is good.If you are looking at these see if you can pick one up used and try to get one that can be set up as a recirculating you won't be sorry these have mazzi veturi's on them and let alot of air pass.I would use a pump like an ehiem1262 or an iwaki 30rlt then you would feed the skimmer counter current.I have set this skimmer up on a store display set up this way..good luck.

One thing about the Little Giant 3MDQX-SC. It is VERY loud. I have had three of the things (keep burning them out because of my high alk) and they were all loud. When I shut off the skimmer I can't believe how quiet the tank is.

HI,

I use a PM Bullet2 on my 120 reef. Its loud, power hungerary.

I will be switching my bullet2 out hopefully mon for a NW.

Been using it for about 8yrs. Been in my living room the

whole time. gonna try (key word there is try) something

a little quieter. Don't work out this mule getting hooked

back up to the team. I can sacrfice quiet and watts,

but I will not sacrifice water quality. Heres some pics of

the bullet.

I bought a used Lifereef skimmer a couple of months ago, and I couldn't be happier with it. It's solid, and it pulls an incredible amount of gunk outta the tank. It definitely outskims my old ER CS6-1. I'm looking at getting another Lifereef.
