Light broke, got new one, acclimate/photoperiod?

I have a 75g SPS tank. About 6 weeks ago my light broke (6 bulb 54 watt t5ho Teklight). For the past six weeks I've been running two 54 watt bulbs for 18 hrs a day. I just got my new light - another 6x54 watt t5 Tek light.

What is the best way/lighting schedule to re-acclimate the corals back to full (6x54 watt) light?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Don't know if there is a "best way", it's always a quess.

Are you using the same bulb you already had? Or all new bulbs?

I would shoot for about 6 hours to start, with your fixture fully lit up. Maybe raise the fixture a little too. Then increase the photoperiod maybe an hour per week until you get it to where you want it.

Just have to keep a close eye on stuff to watch for signs of bleaching.

if using the old lights maybe switching one or two out you should not really have a problem at all. to take no risk hang the lighting higher and slower the duration. But back to 6 seems a little overkill to me.
