Light cycle appropriateness

I currently have my lights on for 15 and off for 9.
It's a FOWLR that's currently stocked with a six line wrasse, purple firefish, and a skunk cleaner shrimp. Will have (in addition to what I already have) 2 ocellaris clowns, anther skunk cleaner, 2 peppermint shrimp, and various snails once fully stocked.
Is this a good light cycle? If you would change it, how and why?

It's OK, I'd probably shorten up the 'on' time a bit. Normal summertime daylight hours near the tropics is only about 13 to 14 hours max. I just try to make my tank as 'normal' as I can for critters that I have forced to live in a glass box inside my house.

Why do you do 15 hours on and 9 off? If it's because that is on when you are up in the morning and off when you go to bed, that's OK. Just consider turning them off an hour or so before you go to bed.

Yes basically. Right now they're on a timer from about 6am to about 9:20ish pm (it's a cheap timer) because I have to wake up about that early, and usually don't get off work until 9.
