Light Duration for FOWLR

Sorry if this question has been asked and answered, but here goes:

I am setting up a small (8 gal) FOWLR. I am wondering what light duration I should use for the tank. I can control the actinics separately.

While your tank is cycling, I would not use the lights much at all. After that anywhere from 8 to 10 hours would be fine. Depending on your work schedule, you can use timers which will allow you to enjoy the tank while your at home in the evening.
