Light for 40g

Would this light be any good for a 40g set up? I like the price!!!

Yes and no...If you want to go cheap with the fixture and add ATI bulbs it will work. With that being said you get what you pay for and it probably won't push the bulbs to their optimum level and it may take a crap on you in 6 months. The best piece of advice i can give anyone in this hobby is buy quality equipment and exactly what you want (save up till you can afford it if money is an issue) the first time or you will end up spending a lot more in the long run buying cheap stuff multiple times until ultimately paying up for what you should have bought the first time around. I would personally keep checking the fore sale forum for an Ati fixture on the low. If it's a 40g breeder a 4 bulb Ati fixture would be plenty. I had a 4 bulb over my 40g SPS dominant tank and it worked great. Hope this helps.

Did you see a fellow member has this light for sale and I personally would jump on it. It would be perfect for your tank assuming it's a 40g breeder and he already has a good bulb mix in it. See link below...
