While I am posting about my skimmer problem, I thought I would try to get some feedback on my lighting.
I recently bought some XM 10K 250watt MH bulbs. I read on several posts that it is less yellow than some other 10K's, well it's YELLOW on my HQI ballast, I have tried to balance it out with T5 actinics, but it just doesn't look right. I also tried Phoenix 14K's, but they are too blue and I didn't get the same growth that I got with my 10K's before which were Aqualine Bushke - yellow also.
Someone recommended Ushio 14K, but after doing research I read that their color changes to more of a yellow after 3 to 4 months? Any recommendations for a bulb with good PAR and not too blue or yellow?
