Light rails.

Does any one know where i can find light rails?

Just looked all over ebay and couldent find any. im looking for ones that are not on motors just somthign i could slide my lights a little bit so getting in the tank would be easer.

look up light mover, hydro track, or Light rail 3.5 and you will get hits via ebay

All that is eletronic does any one know of anything that just slides? I only want it to move hanging t5's when i need to get into my tank.

Look for a hanging kit that easily moves up and down with those spring loaded cable locking adjusters. They make them for current usa as well as other fixtures. You may have to make some minor modifications to the hanging cables but that should work and they dont cost much. It;s how I hang my light rack. Takes about 20 seconds to raise it up or down. You just push a little button on the adjuster (one on each end of the fixture) and lift the fixture up and the adjuster locks it in place then repeat for the other side.

My fixture is to heavy for them, its a 35lb fixture.

I have mine ati powermodule 8 bulbs on the standard light rail that you can fund at the local lowes work like a champ just make sure to use the right weight

No, im not talking about those yo-yo hangers that sunlight supply makes. This type hardware ships with the Current USA fixtures like the Outer Orbit for example which is also a heavy fixture. Also similiar is available for the Maristar.

got a pic of what your talking about, i went to lowes when i wanted to do this on my tank but the peeps at lowes said they didnt have anything like that?
a pic would be great, that way i can just go to the lighting section and find it.
we want to be able to slide the whole fixture back out of the way
and when done messing with the tank slide it back into place.

ahhhh, sorry, I thought you wanted a rail-mover for using a single bulb over a tank.

You can try Grainger that is where i bought my heavy duty rail from.
