Light Spectrum Settings

Hi everyone,

I am currently using the US Current Orbit IC LED System on my 55 gallon tank. Now before anyone tells me they are crap...I know! However, they are what I have to work with and so far have not given me any issues.

My question is that the light has the ability to change the R,G,B,W brightness. What is the most Ideal for my tank?

I currently have a clove polyp, Zoa, Toadstool, Setosa,Bubble Coral, and just added a BTA (who does not like my tank yet).

My current light settings are B-60 G-5 R-5 W-10%. Everything seems happy except my BTA at the moment. He has only been in there for 4 days.

D-Rock, I think your spread is fine. If the tank looks a bit too blue or cool white for your taste, you could dial up the whites and the corals would be fine with that as well.

Is this one of the 0.3 to 0.5 watt led fixtures? And how deep is your tank?

If it is the low wattage leds and your tank is deeper than 18", you could probably bump your numbers up across the board. I have 3w and 5 w leds over a 20" deep tank and run at 90% on 2 blue channels and 40% on the white and violet channels. If your tank is shallow, say 12" or 18", you could still go up some IMHO, but be CAREFUL and do it slowly.

Your anemone probably just needs time. They sometime can be slow to accept new conditions.
