Light timers

I am looking for some good suggestions for some light timers. I am getting a dual ballast for my nanocube that will split my lights onto separte cords. So I need some more timers. I would also like to put my power head on a timer too.

Currently I am using an manual Intermatic heavy duty timer. It is robust and made for outdoor usage. It is large though and takes up a bit of space in my stand. So I am looking for suggestions. Nothing too fancy, basic on and off will work. I would prefer digital if possible. I will need 3 so the cheaper the better.

Thanks.

that powerstrip from ebay look sinteresting. I will need 3 timers for the lights alone, actinic, daylight and moonlights; that may work. I worry about the strips though. You hear the horror stories of the coralife ones going up in smoke. Arlo do you use them? if so how long have they been running?

Arsenal are the two plugs timed separatly?

Spiffy

I have had them for only a short time, but they are running fine I was worried about them burning also but I checked and they have not been recalled and are also from Intermatic.

Has anyone had problems with the digital timers from Lowe's? A couple of years ago I bought two of the only digital times they sold at Lowe's. The first one went bad in about a week and the next one didn't last a month. They would stop keeping the time correctly. I don't think they could handle the MH's I was running from them.

On one of those ones I posted the link to I had both of my MH lights on one timer via a short split extension cord. Like I said, ran it like that for about 4 months before I got my AC jr.

great info. I think I would prefer the strip since it will do a few timed outlets. It should be strong enough to take my light and maybe my MJ 1200. I still have the manual timer too if I need to use that for the MJ. Strip seems like it would save some space too.

hmm just read that the power strip doesn't control the outlets individually. the 4 times are all on or off. So now I need to find small timers lol. Limited room in the top part of my stand. Guess I need to make a lowes trip.

I think the Hellolights one is going to be the best and cheapest. Has anyone else had luck with them besides Shooter?
