I am so so happy with the 400w lumenarc mini on my tank. I was wondering if I took two lumenarc minis and split them about 25% and re connected the two reflectors into one, and ran two 400w. Do you think the reflection from splitting the two would be all screwed up?
My tank is 3x3x10in.
the reflector would be about 20x13
any input would be appreciated
Or do think the larger lumenarc with a 1000W would do the trick?

I like the 1000w idea and in the winter you can hook a blower around the bulb and heat your house.

Seriously though just use one big one and install 2 sockets or make a custom one to fit your tank,but make sure the seam is well riveted so light wont escape.
