lighting a 72" sps tank

The dimensions of the tank are 72x18x20. I am thinking of 2 6 bulb tek lights. Would this be sufficient for an SPS dominated reef?

I'm doing one 8 bulb 60" ted light on mine. It only leaves 6 inches on each side and there will be plenty of spread to cover those 6 inches. I will probably and up mounting some LEDs on the ends anyway.

12 lamps will be plenty over that system. I was taking care of a 125g with an AquaticLife 12 lamp fixture and the SPS did amazing. We replaced the bulbs with a mix of ATI and Giesemann though. Anyway the 2 Tek fixtures will be fine.

Thats good to know. Would the 12 bulbs do better than say a 60" 6 bulb ATI Sunpower? The sunpower would be cheaper than the 2 tek units so i may be leaning that direction plus fewer bulbs to fool with. Thoughts?
