Lighting choices..

Im putting a 55g prop/growout/holding tank together and I have an old pc fixture that im going to use. I have a choice between 10000k/6500k dual daylight bulbs and 50/50 10000k/actinc bulbs. Im not very concerned about appearance, I just want to choose the bulb that will have the best effect on the lps and soft corals that will be in there.

6500k bulbs will help growth but dang it looks nasty. Also, if you spot feed and make sure they get food then youd be better off 10-14k maybe even 20k. I would worry about the colors of the corals, they might misrepresent them selves under 6500k. Also, taking great pictures is a huge sales boost in coral farming...might want to think about people looking at yellowish ugly frags rather than electric poppin frags under higher kelvin lights. I personally like the look of 14k and I still get moderate growth with my AB's. Like I said before, since they are LPS corals, feed feed feed if you want more growth.
