lighting for 30 gallon tank

I have a 30 gallon tank, right now it's just starting out, I have around 40 lbs of live rock, a 2 inch live sand substrate and a 24 inch 2 x 36 power compact light fixture, 36 watts of 10K, and 36 watts of actinic blue.

My question is that if I'm looking to have mostly a fish only tank, with maybe some mushrooms, polyps, and some torch coral, do I need a higher intensity light? Is 72 watts total doable?

All advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thanks fellas, much appreciated. I meant to get a 30 inch light, but got the 24 inch by accident. It's a 30 gallon tank, which measures 30 inches. Right now it's a 24 inch light on a 30 inch tank.

Is that cool?
