Lighting for a 29 gallon

That light would work, but I think there are better alternatives for that price. Alot of folks are going with LEDs these days. There are several models of full spectrum LEDs for less than the price of that MH. You could also look into T5 lights as well. Both would have better light coverage than that MH would because you cannot raise that fixture to cover the whole tank, imo. Read up as much as you can on here before you make your purchase.

A d120 or rb value fixture for around $180 would grow anything you want in a 29. An rb photon 16 or 24 would work well too and they have full control (dusk till dawn, moonlights etc.) for around $300.

Can you give me links please? I googled d 120 and found nothing. Im new so I don't know acronyms as well as you pros

reefbreeders have a great spectrum and price, but they use knockoff leds....
I still recommend DIY, Stevsleds and LEDgroupbuy are great places to start!

I don't run LEDs, so i'll leave that to others. Just make sure whatever fixture you get, it is full spectrum, as they say, and not just cool white and royal blue LEDs.

Look through what others are using in the other threads on this forum for an idea of what others are using.
