Right i will be getting a 3x3x2 very soon and will keeping most of my old livestock which is mostly sps. I have been looking at the aquaphoton plus 400w + 4 T5's but the reflectors look tiny. Will they give me enough light spread other than that what about the arcadia series 4 single 400w.

There is a nice Sfiligoi fixture that would work awsome with that tank size...

You can also get an ATI powermodule 36" 10 bulb fixture

Are you wanting to do a canopy or would you be able to hang a light? If I were to hang a light I would say go with a 400w MH with a good reflector. You might have to raise it to get the 3' coverage, so that is why I would go with 400w.

There wiil be no canopy and i will hang the light so there is no problem there. The only problem is things like lumen bright & so on are a no go as it will be on show. So its trying to find a good halide unit with a big reflector. The only 1 i can see that will do the job is the giesemann spectra but they are just to pricey.

+1 on the lumenmax elite. You can build a nice looking hood out of 11/32 finished plywood, and paint it gloss black, and hang it over the tank!

yup 400 and lumen bright I have the same over a 40x40x24

Thanks for the replies where can you purchase these sfiligoi units in the UK. From what i can see there made in Italy but i can only find retailers in the USA.

I'm in the same situation

I was thinking 1 lumenarc stealth 400w with a lumatek ballast and radium 20k

you could go with the aquaphoton if you are going mixed reef

Check out d2minis thread

Right now I have an elos planet 2x150w with 4x39w t5s which I am going to use until I get the lm stealth

Also Hamilton makes a nice pendant which is huge

Forgot the name ...
