Lighting for a 5ft tank

My new tank is 60x18x24 and I currently already have a 165w viparspectra light. Would one of the 300w mars aqua lights with the lenses removed give me good coverage?

Just get another 165w call it a day. But for best coverage go 3 total.

It should work OK. But why do you want to remove the lenses?

However, remember that the MarsAqua are already a bit weak as led fixtures go. The Viparspectra use 3 watt leds driven at 2.2 watts and the MA uses the same leds but only drive them at 1.8 watts. That a 25% reduction.

I'm with scuzy, get 2 more Viparspectra 165 and have more than enough light and a nice even spread. It's not like you are buying 2 extra Radions for $1500!
