lighting for a clam....

I'm looking into getting a 30g cube reef set up and I was definitely wanting a clam. I just ordered a 175w MH with 2x24 CF's and was wondering if that would be enough lighting for any clam?
Dimensions of the tank are 20x18x21 or right around that I can't really remember right now, if that helps any.

For that size (really height) of a tank, your lights should work. On the other hand, it may be tougher for you to keep the chemical parameters in check due to the small volume of water (our tanks don't hold their rated water gallonage. Keep in mind the displacement of evertyhing that goes in. e.g. my 125 really holds about 90 gallons of water).

For a 30 gallon that should be plenty. I have a 150w on my 18 and my clams do great.
