T5's and Halides are best for these animals. Some people will tell you you can keep them under pc's but I wouldnt attempt that even in a shallow tank. Not because I think they wouldnt live but because I dont think they would thrive. Tell us what size your tank is and we can give you a suggestion for lighting.
Well okay my tank is 15 inches deep (29g) I currently have a aquatic life fixture with 4 bulbs 2 24w 10000k bulbs and 2 24w 420/460
Those are the original bulbs it came with. Should I be using any thing different?

The amount of lighting you have is fine.
depending on what you keep in your tank, in terms of corals your lighting is fine to. 10k lights help things to grow more and you have it balanced with two actinics by the looks of it.
Just ensure you change those out yearly or sooner if you start seeing algae issues.
There are a couple really good brands of bulbs that you can look for in terms of PAR Readings.
