Lighting for sps

So ive started to dabble in the sps keeping part of reef keeping. I currently have a green slimer, hollywood stunner chalice, and a green tip birdsnest. Ive had the slimer and chalice for about 2 weeks and they have done good. I had to actually move the slimer down cause the light was beggining to burn it. Im running t5's on a 29 gallon biocube the light has 6 bulbs in it. Not exactly sure of all the details of the lights but from the signs of the other sps corals it looks like its growing them fine. I was wondering if you all think it would be safe to go a little deeper into the sps corals

how long has your tank been setup? keeping them alive is part of the battle. getting them to grow is even harder!! the chalice should be down near the bottom. whats your alk at? did you just assume the it was the light that burn the tips? whats your bulb combonation? i would not rush in to stocking your tank with sps yet!! stick with the 2 you have and see how they are in a month or 2. if they have growth and color, then try a couple more. hope this helps

Yea im almost positive it was the light cause i moved the slimer about midway down and the color came back. The chalice is near the bottom and is actually already growing. The tank is by no means new. Ive had it setup for a little over 2 years

well...you know your tank best. if you can tell things are growing and doing well in your tank i would say wait a week or so and add a couple more. what other corals do you have in the cube?
