lighting for the fuge (not the standard which bulb question)

I am thinking about getting one of those cheap bathroom lights for my fuge

its a 20L

the 24" 3 bulb fixture is like 10 bucks at home depot and I'd need 3 spiral compact fluorescents, so the total cost would be less than $30

they also have a 30" 5 bulb fixture, but since the tank is 30" I doubt the 30" fixture will fit directly above it, I am unsure of the exact dimensions

that should be good enough lighting to run a fuge won't it?

the orientation of the bulbs would be straight up and down as shown in this intensely well drawn graphic

I bought a 175 watt MV fixture from HD today. I have a spider light reflector laying around, so I will have Mercury Vapor over my fuge for less that $25. The MV fixture was on $22.

It comes with the bulb. The just use a regular 175 watt Mercury Vapor bulb that you can get at HD or Lowes. This fixture is your typical Dusk to Dawn light, so I will have to make some mods to it, but you can't beat the price.

thanks for the heads up, I'll check it out tomorrow and see if I can find it

is this normally used as an outdoor security light or something?

Yes, it just a regular outside light like they mount on the side of a store to light a large area.
