Which lighting you all have currently for your Zoanthid polyps?

I have 12 poll options for each of you to choose.
The reason there are multiple options on this poll is just incase you have all three types of lighting (MH, T5, led) on
your tank. And also because there are multiple lighting compenents which you all have for your zoanthids, so I have multiple options which i'm looking for. These are:

1. Metal Halide combined with T5 or VHO for dusk to dawn effect

2. Metal Halide only

3. Metal Halide Bulb Brand and K temp (pick one option from the brands below)

Feel free to post in addition to voting on the poll, for instance, if you marked "other" on any section and want to post more specifics. Or feel free to post about what your lighting fixture is.
Or, if you have something unusual for your lighting.

I hope I set up this poll correctly, if you have questions about the poll options, please let me know.
Thanks much.

Lots of choices...WOW!! Since they're all competing with each other, though, the statistics are sort of meaningless.

heh heh, yeah, it's a giant poll.
And yes, you're right, there's no way to get an all conclusive poll that really brakes it out. Or rather...I personally can't get anymore anal than this poll, I was getting dizzy as it was.
If you (or any member) wanna go for it with building a more accurate poll, no one will be happier than I. :p Not being facetious either.
At least this one may give a general idea of what wattage, bulbs, temp, and combinations are more polular (not better). I think newer folks (and perhaps non-newer folks) often wonder about this. I think I know what's popular but I just want to see a visual out of curiousity.

I do also hope that newer folks can use this thread as one place (via bumping it occasionally I guess) to ask about lighting. To ask opinions on why a particular light is more popular, ask more experienced reef keepers lighting questions etc.
Yes? What do you all think?

I think your T5 stats are a bit skewed by a couple of factors. First, your T5 wattage is dependent on length, which is generally going to be a direct correlation to the length of the tank. You list some wattages that aren't a common T5. Common T5 lamps are 24w(22"), 39w(34"), 54w(46"), and 80w(58"). Also, due to the limitations of the polling software, itself, the lamps are competing for status with manufacturer, as well as some other, unrelated items (i.e. moonlights). It's still an interesting look at what others are using, though.

This is true. I was sort of analyzing what I had listed as options and seeing that them be either redundant or canceling each others data out. And other stuff, you're right. Oh well, as you said it's still an interesting peek.
ps. I forgot, yes i noticed last night that i had added 110w (doh) instead of 39w under the t5.
Not only is this a lesson for me in popular lighting, it's a lesson for me for future data capture with any polls I do.

Me too. When i used to go to Sanjay Joshi's site the Phoenix 14K, (at that time anyway) were way up there in terms of par rating.
I've always just plain liked the look the Phoenix 14k gives off too, crisp white with a blue tinge.
I'm waiting with you to see if anyone can tell us why they like them.
Cheers. :)

Cool, thanks todd3blown. How are you liking the E-Lite? I've seen it on pics of the newer Elos Mini and it's really nice and low profile. I like the silver color and finish of it too.
