Lighting fuge

rogergolf66

im an addict lol
I was thinking of using a Kessil 150 amazing sun fixture. It says for freshwater tanks but I would think would work well on macro too? What else would u recommend instead if not that? The fudge is about 24x18x12 water hight.

Lights for fresh water PLANTED tanks should work for macros. Sounds like a nice chunk of fudge!

Ok but what about lights that's r just grow lights. Plants out of water entirely? Those r the ones with more red in them. My auto correct does not like the word fuge. Has to be refuge to no change it. :(

Check out these fuge lights. I'm running the DM-7e on my 13x12x12. Fantastic lamp. Low to no heat. Getting wonderful growth from my Marcos.

I will check them out thx

Do many people run a pinkish color refugium light? I just switched to a LED lamp with Red and some blue/white LEDs. It gives a pink color like above.

I was just looking at this and wondering if it would work

360 lm is almost nothing

Try the coolwhite one LED outdoor 30w yardlight $16.99 shipped.

2400Lm VS 360lm

One thing about these cheap lights. They will grow it. Its juts a matter if you want it to keep up with tank demands or not

175W MH will grow the hell out of it, but at what cost $

You want 6000K ish and you want the highest Lm at the lowest wattage.

I have the A150 Amazon Sun over my display Refugium and it does very well. Not yellow at all. Very clean white.

I also have A150 10k's over my macro/mangrove 40B and they do really well too.

I think either would be a good choice.

Good luck,
Adam
