Lighting Help for a 150 reef

I am finshing my 150 in wall setpu and have some questions about the lighting.

Would 2 175watt 20K MH
and two 96 watt Actinic PC be enough for a mixed reef setup


Ideas??????

For mixed, (and that tank size) i think you would be better off just upgrading to 250 watt halides. That would allow plenty of options for sps and for lps.

If you are going to run 20K halides you should go to 400W.

For now I would like to keep the 175 as I already have them. What Kelvin should I run with dual 175 MH?

If you plan on keeping SPS then run 10K as the 20K will not be enough light. Also, I would run Ushio 10K's (PPFD = 75 per bulb) and you will need to supplement with actinics. Unfortunately the SPS will not "color up" as well with this combination and this will not be enough light for the deeper areas of your tank. I'm running 2 x 400W XM 20K's (PPFD = 128 per bulb) without any supplementation on my 90G (48 x 18 x 24) and it is perfect...I have great SPS color and growth. Good luck! Bill
