Lighting help for a 55 gal. (pic)

I'm seriously considering going to a 55 gallon soon. Not because they are my favorite tanks but I need something bigger and it's the biggest I want to deal with/ care for at this time.

I'm happy with my T-5s but I'd like a little different look with a new tank. Here's an example of what I'd like to do:

This is naka's tank on RC here. His corals look amazing under this lighting.

He said he's using 2 - 250de 10k BLV
2- 54 w ATI Blue plus
2- UVL Super Actinics

First question, what do the 'de' and 'BLV' abbreviations stand for?

Next, if I was going to make a canopy and do a retrofit set up, what could I cram into a 55 sized canopy to achieve lighting like this?

Would a 10k, 175 w put out the same color?

I've never owned t hat bulb, but I think it might look a little different, certain bulbs have a different look, when you go up in wattage and even when you change their ballast. It might still be a look you like, but most likely not the same.

an aquactinics 5 bulb t5 unit would work great on a 55! It can be suspended like the above pic. aquariumspecialty.com has them
