Lighting Help Please

I have posted before in ref to the lighting on my 14G Biocube, but now I need a little more help please.

Not too long ago one of our lights went out. We thought it was the bulb, but later realized that the bulb was fine.

We have been running our daylight bulb in the second socket (designated socket for the actinic bulb) and then that went out suddenly last night. We replaced it with a new bulb and come to discover that it is not the bulb again, but something with the actual lighting set up.

Each light consist of 4 pins in a line and two tubes. They are 10K.

The fans, wiring, vents, sockets, reflectors, etc. are enclosed in a plastic housing. We unscrewed everything and checked to see if any salt had crept in or if there was any condensation, etc. There was none, but we still gave it a wipe down.

The fans still run, which are connected to the on/off switch for the lights. There is a box connected to each power cord for the lights, so i am guessing that is the ballast. Is there anything I can do to try and fix this issue? Thanks.

sounds like the ballasts went bad. best off getting replacements. I had a coralife PC fixture do the same thing ballasts just went out after 2 years.

Do you know where I can order them from or any tips on reputable sellers? I dont live in the United States, so I will have to get it shipped in :0(

what brand? otherwise you can use any ballast for a replacement as long as you don't mind the ballast outside the fixture. but I would check out hellolights.

The ballast is already outside the fixture. It is in the middle of the power chord for each fixture.

It is an Oceanic 24W Ballast, Model IEB24-IU
