Lighting in a 20 Long

I have an 8 gallon cube with two Derasa clams and only 36 watts of PC lighting. They are doing great. DT Phytoplankton and you should be all set.

I have a 20g Long as well. Very nice tank. Only a few of us out here. As for lighting I am running a CustomSeaLife (Orbit) 2x65w PowerCompact fixture. I have two Crocea clams, Sun Coral, Hammer Coral, Kenya Trees, and various Zoanthids doing well in this tank. I dose B-Ionic and DT's. I also spot feed Cyclopeeze.

Get either a 150w pendant or a 250w pendant. Keep the clams toward the center. Metal Halides are sooo sweet.

wouldn't 250 watts be too much, that would give 12.5 watts per gallon. It might be too much espacially if your going to keep other corals. I have 150 watt DE 20k HQI on a hex that is 24 inches deep and my crocea is is doing very well. With 250 watts and 20 gallon you also might have heat problems.

Ive gopt a 175w pendent with a XM 20k bulb. I have a couple of croceas, a derasa, and i am getting a maxima tomorrow
