What are the best mh 175w lighting fixtures, life span, $?

There are too many options to give an accurate answer to this one. IMO and decent fixture with good mogul sockets, XM 10k bulbs, and HQI or magnetic ballasts will do. I have PFO ballasts on mine. Figure $200 for a retrofit into an existing canopy, or $400 on up for a new stand alone plug and play unit. Life span for metal halide bulbs is between 1 and 2 years depending on who you believe. I shoot for more along the 2 year line.
